Hello! I am Miss Merrill. I have been teaching in Weber School District for 17 years, all of which has been in Kindergarten. My first five years of teaching was at Club Heights and I have been at Municipal Elementary since. My heart is in Kindergarten and as such I love my job! I graduated from Weber State with a double Bachelors in Early Childhood and Elementary Education. After teaching for three years I went back for my Master Degree in Education with an emphasis in technology.

When I am not in the classroom, I spend time tutoring and hanging out with my nieces and nephews. I have ten nieces and three nephews whom I can't spend enough time with. I am considered a homebody and enjoy doing projects of all kinds. I enjoy being active and busy. I love eating popcorn, chex mix, and drinking water.

My motto in life is work hard, play hard and I bring this motto into my classroom. I believe that every child can succeed and I have made it my personal goal to help each child reach their potential. I am somewhat of a nerd in the sense that I love data and it is through the data that I am able to see the growth in my students. In my classroom I do my best to create a fun and engaging learning environment where all feel safe, accepted, and valued all while developing relationships of trust and confidence.
