Review and approve the minutes from the prior meeting

  • We reviewed the minutes from our November 29th meeting.

2:05

Overview of the implementation of the School LAND Trust Plan

  • Aides are also paid out TSSA money.  Aides who work more than 4 hours have their salary paid over 12 months, not 9 months. We are predicting we will have less than 10% in our carryover.
  • Becky explained how we are testing in reading to create our reading intervention groups.  She talked about the PSI assessment and shared that it helps us pinpointed the lagging skill of each student. Our aides are working to target skills with students.
  • Jahnin spoke about what each grade is doing in their small groups.  Some grades are doing novel studies and some grades are doing a shorter passage that will last for six weeks to then review the data if it's working.

2:15

Overview of the implementation of the Teacher and Student Success Plan (TSSA)

  • Mrs. Dills reviewed our TSSA fund.
  • She explained our Student Success meetings that we hold once a month and how the team works with data.
  • Two things that have not been taken out of the budget yet are the two newline panels.

2:30

Final Report opens on January 15th and is due on February 9th

  • Mrs. Dills went over the final report on pathways of progress.
  • She will be reporting that 51% of our students made typical growth.
  • Mrs. Dills reviewed the Acadience reading and math data.

2:45

Academic Discussion in relation to the current School LAND Trust Plan implementation and identify the academic needs the council will address in the upcoming school year.

  • We will discuss the scores at our next meeting.

2:55

Review the year-to-date budget and prepare, approve, and submit a School LAND Trust Plan Amendment for approval, as needed.

  • The budget for Trustland was shown to the Community Council.  Mrs. Dills feels we will be close to our budget.
  • We will share scores next week, and review the final budget.

Sally Golding proposed to end the meeting and Michelle Palileo seconded it.
