August newsletter 2017

Hello wonderful Municipal Eagles,

This summer has been a wonderful opportunity to meet a few of you, and to get to know the teachers of Municipal. I can’t believe how much extra time the teachers here put in to make sure their classrooms and lessons are prepared for the first day of school! I can already see they are wonderful people. I hope you feel comfortable in approaching any of the staff members at Municipal to ask questions or talk about concerns. Feel free to e-mail me directly if you have a need or concern at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. I am thrilled to be a part of your community and can’t wait to get to know the magnificent things going on at Municipal. When you see me in the halls please introduce yourself and help me learn your name.

As a reminder, August 10th you will be able to see who your teacher(s) are on My Weber. For those of you who can’t get on to My Weber, class lists will be posted in the school on the 16th of August. We encourage you to come into the office and get help to be able to access this site since that is how we will be communicating and using on-line registration. Students who attended last year will need to go onto My Weber and register on-line this year which should save you a lot of time filling out multiple pages of registration information.
The first day of school for Kindergarten – 6th grade is August 22nd and the whole week 22nd -25th will be early out Wednesday schedule 8:30-1:15 daily. The following week is a regular schedule.

August 23rd is our back to school night. It will be held in an open house format from 5:30-7 PM. You are welcome to come meet your teacher(s) and sign up for PTA, pay lunch money, learn about clubs and other opportunities at the school. At 7 PM sharp we will be voting on the PTA budget and then be finished for the evening.
Lastly, please make education a priority this year. Commit to being here on time every day, ready to go. Our top priority is to make this school a safe, inviting, and interesting place to be and we hope you are here to learn and grow with us.
